'Apidae Market' features the historic classically proportioned Stockbridge Market Arch in
Edinburgh. The architectural form is twisted in a manner that suggests movement, perhaps caused by the
kinetic energy and weight of the oversized landed bee.
Over 500 photographs were taken and numerous sketches were produced during the creation of this piece.
The architectural elements are painted entirely in monochromatic tones to heighten the colours and contrast
of the bee.
